Radzę dać szansę Fleurety, to wspaniała kapela. Cały wagon wypocin malowanych chłopków za jedną płytę Fleurety.

Próbowałem milion razy i nie weszło, nie pomógł nawet udział Hellhammera, Garma, Maniaca itp. nie jest to złe ale nie jest to też poziom VBE, Ulver czy Arcturus.

Nie wydaje mi się prawidłowe przesadne zestawianie Fleurety z Ulver, czy Arcturus. Szczególnie z tym ostatnim. To jednak zdecydowanie bardziej absorbujące granie. Porównując ich debiuty... No właśnie, Tam nie ma czego porównywać. Zawsze lubiłem Arcturus, ale Fleurety gaszą ich jednym depnięciem. Dodajmy, że nie tylko na Min Tid Skal Komme. Im dalej, tym większa między nimi przepaść. Na korzyść tych drugich, rzecz jasna.

Season of Mist are proud to announce the signing of Ivar Bjørnson & Einar Selvik’s Skuggsjá . The Norwegian band consisting of members from Enslaved and Wardruna represents another gem in the label's treasure chest. These acclaimed musical masterminds will release their debut album early 2016.

SKUGGSJÁ comment:
"When we were asked to write a joined convert piece by the Eidsivablot festival for the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian constitution, we both immediately saw the outline of something massive and important.

"Our performance confirmed that this project should live on, develop and thrive. During 2015 we have performed the piece once more at the Roadburn festival, and have also discreetly slipped in and out of studios around Norway to record what is to become our debut album.

"We are extremely proud of what we will present on this album; and are delighted to be working with the professionals at Season of Mist. It has been quite a journey already for the two of us, but this where it really begins. We have created something that is bigger than its individual parts. Now we are excited to see what the world make out of our creation!"

SKUGGSJÁ was conceived as a commissioned musical work written by Ivar Bjørnson and Einar Selvik. The arrangement was performed by ENSLAVED and WARDRUNA as a concert piece in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian constitution at the Eidsivablot festival in Eidsvoll, Norway on September 13th, 2014.

Shortly after this premiere, SKUGGSJÁ was announced as one of the headliners of the 20th edition of Roadburn Festival 2015.

The growing desire to present SKUGGSJÁ to a broader audience has ultimately led Bjørnson and Selvik to record their work in its entirety. The album will be released early 2016. Details regarding this debut release will follow soon.

SKUGGSJÁ translates into ‘mirror’ or ‘reflection’ in the Norse language. This composition not only contextualises the role of extreme music in Norway’s democracy in the year 2014, but also joins threads from the country’s ancient musical history and solidifies the position of metal as Norway`s most important cultural export.

By highlighting ideas, traditions and instruments of their Norse past, SKUGGSJÁ tells the history of Norway and reflects relevant aspects from the past into the present day. In light of they reflect on themselves as a people and nation. In a magnificent tapestry of metal instrumentation, a wide variety of Norway’s and Scandinavia’s oldest instruments as well as poetry in Norse and Norwegian, SKUGGSJÁ is a fusion between past and present, both lyrically and musically.

The re-issue of “Vikingligr Veldi” will co-incide with Enslaved’s 25 European Tour and will be available in a LIMITED Enslaved 25 Webshop edition and a regular edition!
The astonishing new layout was done by Zbyszek Bielak (Ghost, Mayhem, etc.) and includes four brand new illustrations specially made for this legendary album.
Zbyszek has stayed true to the ideals of the era (it was originally scheduled for release in 1993); this 2LP Gatefold with illustrated pockets has been respectfully remastered for vinyl by Iver Sandøy; preserving every bit of original dynamics.

Enslaved`s 1st full-length album was co-produced with the legendary Pytten in Grieghallen, Bergen, Norway. This album has lyrics in Icelandic, and is a tribute to the Norse landscape, history and mythology. The songs are matching these themes with long horizontal songscapes, dense atmospheres and winds from the past.

a ja sobie ostatnio odświeżam Isa i Ruun i dochodzę do wniosku, że to moje ulubione Enslavedy, a także ostatnie wielkie albumy tego zespołu. zawsze je lubiłem, a teraz podobają mi sie jeszcze bardziej. zwłaszcza na tle tego, co nagrali później. piękna muzyka

Mogę śmiało powiedzieć, że kocham ten zespół, choć ta miłość jest ostatnio wystawiona na poważną próbę po premierze In Times. Tak samo było przy okazji Axioma Ethica Odini. Liczę, że skoro stać ich jeszcze na takie rzeczy jak Thorn, to sprawa nie jest przegrana.
A Ruun to mój ulubiony album Enslaved, choć jak pomyślę o Monumension, czy Mardarum (w tej kolejności), momentalnie mam ciary. Mimo wszystko, to dla mnie wciąż wspaniały i bardzo ważny zespół.

Wierd day yesterday. Last Enslaved-gig for 2016 at the venue Hulen (The Cave) in Bergen, Norway. Also the last gig with Herbrand, our brother since July 2003. The venue was packed, the crowd was great, the gig went great, but of course it was also sad to close this chapter of the Enslaved book. So by now we are officially a quartet for the moment. Main focus for 2017 is songwriting and rehearsing new songs, so we will keep ourselves busy. Of course we will also play live, first and foremost festivals during the summer, so we are not going in hiatus! Thanks for all these years together Herbrand, merry X-mas and a happy New Year! We love you, and so does the fans!
